Schmidt Bakery (Lot E3 - 3.98 Acres) has opened a 30,000 square foot regional distribution center at Westwood. Schmidt has over 11 distribution centers and employs 800+ people throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
G2 Properties (Lot E1 & E2 - 4.99 Acres) has plans for a new office/warehouse project offering units with flexible office/warehouse configurations.
Ferguson Enterprises (Lot B8 - 20.02 acre parcel) is the largest distributor of plumbing supplies and pipes, valves, and fittings. Ferguson is also the third largest distributor of heating and cooling equipment. They were founded in 1953 and have over 1,300 service centers throughout the United States. The three building complex will total over 90,000 square feet.
Stock Lumber (Lot D1 - 9.02 acre parcel) is a supplier of building materials to professional home builders and contractors throughout the United States. Stock offers over 3,000 name brand products including Anderson, Dupont, Georgia Pacific, Huber and more. Stock intends to build a regional sales and distribution center. Construction is expected to begin in 2009.
Westwood Business Center (Lots B3 & B4 - 5.56 Acres) - is developing a new flex office warehouse facility. The 63,000+ square foot project will be located on Westwood Drive with frontage on Business Route 50. The buildings will feature 24’ ceilings with no interior columns, loading docks and drive in doors. Condo units are available from 2,500 – 15,000 square feet offering lease, purchase, lease/purchase options. The design will allow for the perfect mix of office and warehouse uses. Tenants include Alban Tractor, Sherwin Williams Floorcoverings, and Hagemeyer Electric.
JD Hynes & Associates (Lot B2 - 2.88 Acres) - is a local consulting engineering firm. They plan to construct a new office building in the park. Construction timeline is not yet available.
Kraus Development (Lot C1 - 4.25 Acres) intends to build a new flex office warehouse facility. This project consists of a 45,000 square foot building that will include loading docks and drive-in doors. Construction is expected to begin in Summer 2008.
State of Maryland DLLR (Lot B5 - 3.49 Acres) is in the process of designing a 20,000 square foot regional call center to be used as an Unemployment Insurance Call Center. Approximately 90 people will be employed at the facility. Construction is expected to begin in 2008.
